C6 Z06 Corvette – Exterior Detail and Single Step Paint Correction
This blue C6 Z06 came in with good paint but needed a bit of work to bring it back to life. The color was solid but had light swirls and some dullness that was holding it back. The owner wanted it cleaned up and looking sharp again, so we went with our full exterior detail and a single step paint correction.
We started with a rinse and foam prewash to knock off all the surface dirt. From there we gave it a full contact wash and spent time getting into the vents, trim, and around the badges. Once it was clean, we clayed the paint to remove any remaining contamination so we weren’t working over anything during the correction.
The paint itself wasn’t in terrible shape, just a little tired. We used a polish with light cut to bring back the gloss and clean up the swirls without going overly aggressive. Worked panel by panel until the reflections were clean again and the color had some depth to it. The blue popped way more after the correction and looked smooth from every angle.
We finished the car with a spray sealant to add some protection and help keep that finish looking good. When it rolled out it looked like a completely different car. The paint had that clean, slick look it was missing and the color finally showed the way it should.
