Multi-Stage Paint Correction

Compound, polish, and seal for moderate to heavy paint defects, 24-hour turnaround

Our Multi-Stage Correction Process

Five stages, measured and controlled, fully documented from intake to delivery.

1

Decontamination Wash and Clay

Your vehicle gets a full foam wash followed by clay treatment to remove bonded surface contamination. Iron particles, tar, and embedded debris are stripped before any polishing pad touches your paint.

2

Paint Inspection and Depth Readings

We measure clear coat thickness across every panel with a digital paint gauge and inspect under LED lighting. The data guides our compound and pad selection so we remove only the minimum material needed for full defect correction.

3

Compounding Stage

The compound pass cuts through swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and water spotting. Each panel is corrected individually under inspection lighting until the defects are gone.

4

Polishing and Refinement

After compounding, the surface is refined with a finishing polish that removes any compound haze and brings the paint to a high-gloss, mirror-clear finish. An IPA wipe verifies the corrected result is real and not masked by polishing oils.

5

Sealant and Final Inspection

A long-term sealant is applied to lock in the corrected finish for around six months of protection. The vehicle is photographed and a digital report is delivered with before-and-after documentation.

Available Across North Idaho and Spokane

We offer Multi-Stage Paint Correction in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Liberty Lake, Spokane Valley, Spokane, Harrison, and Rockford. This service is performed at our Post Falls shop for optimal results.

FAQs

Multi-Stage Correction FAQs

Common questions about Multi-Stage Paint Correction, our process, and the upgrade path.

Multi-Stage Paint Correction is a two to three step machine polishing process that removes moderate to heavy defects from your factory paint. The first stage compounds out swirl marks, scratches, water spots, and oxidation. The refining stage polishes the paint back to a high gloss with no compound haze. A sealant locks the corrected finish for around six months of protection. The result is paint that looks closer to delivery than to its current condition.

Single-stage Enhancement removes light defects in a single pass and is the right choice for newer vehicles or paint in good overall condition. Multi-Stage Correction is the right choice for heavily swirled, oxidized, or neglected paint where one pass cannot fully address the damage. We assess your paint in person before recommending a tier so you only pay for the level of correction your vehicle actually needs.

Multi-Stage Correction removes most defects that live in the clear coat, including swirl marks, light to moderate scratches, water spotting, and oxidation. Scratches deep enough to catch a fingernail have likely cut through the clear coat into the base coat and cannot be polished out without risking the integrity of the paint. We measure paint depth on every panel and tell you up front what is correctable and what is not.

The corrected finish itself is permanent. The sealant we apply at the end of the service provides around six months of water beading and stain resistance under normal use. After that, the paint will continue to look corrected, but environmental contaminants will start to bond more easily. If you want long-term protection without re-applying sealant, the next step is one of our Protection Plans or Opti-Shield Liquid PPF.

Yes. Customers who book a 7-Year Ceramic Coating, Lifetime Ceramic Coating, or Opti-Shield Liquid PPF within 30 days of a Multi-Stage Correction get 50 percent of what they paid for the correction taken off the upgrade. No re-prep fee inside the 30-day window. The correction work transfers directly to the coating prep, which means you do not pay twice for the same labor. This is the most efficient way to start with serious correction and decide on long-term protection later.

Multi-Stage Correction is a 24-hour turnaround service. Drop your vehicle off in the morning at the scheduled appointment and pick up the next day with the correction complete and the sealant applied. The 24-hour window allows proper compound work, refining, and full sealant flash time without rushing.

Multi-Stage Paint Correction starts at $1,295. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition, and the level of correction needed. We provide a transparent quote after evaluating your vehicle in person, with no surprises at pickup.

Yes. Multi-Stage Correction removes the swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation that show up immediately in listing photos and at private showings. A corrected vehicle photographs better, presents better in person, and supports a higher asking price. For trade-ins, the cleaner finish often translates directly into a better appraisal.

No. We take paint thickness readings on every panel before any correction work begins. The measurements tell us exactly how much clear coat is available and ensure we remove only the minimum material needed to eliminate the defects. Multi-Stage Correction is a measured, controlled process designed to preserve the long-term integrity of your finish.

Yes. Multi-Stage Correction includes light headlight restoration and trim refinement as part of the service. Severely yellowed or pitted headlights may require additional restoration work, which we will assess and quote separately if needed.
